March 13th - 15th
Family Fish Camp is a fun weekend where families learn fishing skills together while staying overnight at cozy Camp Angelos on the Sandy River. Kids and adults can fish the pond, play games, plan their next fishing adventure, and participate in session activities on:
Casting and reeling
Angler ethics and regulations
Gear and equipment
Water quality testing
Fish printing art projects
.... And more!
Family Fish Camp is for all families who want to learn more about how to jump-start their fishing experiences in the Pacific Northwest. Passionate anglers with years of experience will teach you the essential skills, and your family will have the opportunity to recreate together outdoors alongside new friends.

What time does the event start and end?
Families typically arrive at Camp Angelos for registration around 5pm on Friday and leave around 11am on Sunday.
Do I need to bring my own fishing gear?
No. We will provide all participants with fishing gear during the weekend. If you prefer using your own gear, you are more than welcome to do so. We simply ask you label it clearly so it doesn't get mixed up with others.
Where will my family sleep during the event?
We will be assigning families to the various cabins at Camp Angelos. There are not enough cabins for each family to have their own, so please be aware you will be sharing your sleeping space with other families.
Will we be able to keep the trout that we catch at the pond?
Yes. Typically, each participant can catch 1-2 fish per day, clean them at the filet station, and take them home.
What kind of weather should I prepare for?
March weather can be unpredictable... Therefore, it is recommended you bring plenty of warm layers, rain gear, socks, and closed-toe shoes.
My family needs special accommodations. What should I do?
Please know that we will do our best to make sure every family feels safe, comfortable, and welcome at Family Fish Camp. When registering, you can add any ADA accommodations or food allergies for each participant. Feel free to contact Event Coordinator, Molly Shea, at firstname.lastname@example.org with any additional comments or concerns.
